Mt. Pleasant UMC exists to bring people to Christ and membership in His family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and to equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God's name.
PASTOR'S CORNER
People believe that God wants us to be Christians. More importantly, God wants us to be sons and daughters who share His interests, perspectives, and visions. This is what makes us closer to God. When we begin to see all of life as God sees it, we will begin to share the same values of our Creator. When we walk in the purpose for which God has created, we are most fulfilled and God is most glorified. It is the most significant form of worship, living in the design from our Father. The proof of honor is adapting. You conform to what it is that you honor. Living out our God-given purpose proves that we honor God. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15
February 5, 2012 SERMON In rememberance of Our Savior Jesus Christ
This is my body which is given for you: this do in rememberance of me... This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22: 19-20
